Another map sign of the Clackamas Water Trail was installed June 28, 2024 at the Feldheimer Boat Launch. Located 1.1 miles off S. Springwater Rd. and less than two miles from Milo McIver State Park, the rustic launch is a quiet and small public access point to the wild and clean Clackamas River.
The 4’ X 3’ metal map sign was installed on the original rustic kiosk made of pressure treated posts, plywood, and a cedar shake mini-roof. The sign fit perfectly on the old frame.
While the parking is limited (est. 15-20 cars), the launch area is wide and is really a rubble continuation of the gravel parking lot. For low profile vehicles, be careful of large river rocks protruding from the ground on the slope into the water.
Feldheimer Boat Launch is owned and managed by Clackamas Parks & Forestry, and is free.
Please review Float Safety & River Etiquette before floating or paddling the river, and always pack out your own trash and help protect a river that provides drinking water to over 300,000 people and habitat for native wildlife.
