Tubing the Clackamas River during hot summer days is a Portland pastime!
Thousands of people float the Clackamas in a variety of inner tubes. The river is relatively slow and shallow and a perfectly cooling 72 degrees F (fahrenheit). However the river is essentially wild, with potential dangers such as snags or strainers (trees down in the river), deep channels and pools, and swift currents.
Please review the Clackamas Water Trail Float Safety & River Etiquette webpage to be ready for helpful and potentially life saving guidelines.
